Reverend Geneva McAuley
Rev. Geneva McAuley (Minister to Children) was born in Lincoln, NE and grew up moving around the Midwest before settling in the Jefferson City, MO area for high school with her mother Nancy and younger sister Elizabeth.
She completed college at Westminster College in Fulton, MO where she majored in Biomedical Ethics and Biochemistry. She then went to Kansas City, MO where she studied Bioethics at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.
Following a long-felt call to ministry, she left the Midwest for the East Coast and completed an M.Div. seminary program at Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, NJ., where she also earned a graduate certificate in Theology, Women, and Gender.
After completing her education, she found her way back to the Midwest and settled in Shawnee, KS. There she met her husband, Chad McAuley, and married in 2017. She has served as the Coordinator of Children’s Spiritual Education at KCUCC since June 2017, and in November, 2018 was ordained as KCUCC’s Minister to Children.
