Safety Information
Following the old adage of "better safe than sorry," KCUCC partnered with KCPD earlier this year regarding church security protocol. So, what's new?
The north and south doors are locked when worship begins, as are the sanctuary doors. Our new usher protocol has one usher seated at the South Door to welcome you up until service begins, and one seated in the vestibule during service to open the door if necessary. If you are running late for worship, please come to the sanctuary doors so the doors can be opened for you. Further safety (COVID) measures are detailed below.
COVID Policy as of 6/21/22

MASKS RECOMMENDED, BUT NOT REQUIRED. The General Council has voted to allow masking to be up to the discretion of individuals at worship, although we still recommend wearing a mask for everyone at worship. If you need a mask, you can find them at the Usher stations. Note: masks for the choir members will still be mandatory during rehearsals and performances.

WE ALSO OFFER WORSHIP ON ZOOM. The process will be very similar to the way it was in the past. A weekly link to the meeting will be sent to you via email; you will be able to log in on a computer or cell phone if you have the Zoom application. If you don’t, you will still be able to join the meeting with a call on your phone. The Zoom invitation link is sent weekly in the midweek newsletter. You can also find the Zoom invitation on the "Calendar" page (linked here), by clicking on the virtual service scheduled each Sunday.

THE BUILDING WILL BE OPEN DURING THE WEEK AS USUAL. At this time, Jessica and Ann plan to keep their regular schedules going forward. Tenants and private groups are using their own discretion for scheduling in-person events.

THE SITUATION IS EVER-CHANGING, AND WE APPRECIATE YOUR FLEXIBILITY. As difficult as this is, we care about the most vulnerable among us, and we want to have a safe space for worship!
